Metabolomics Australia provides state-of-the-art metabolomics capabilities including sophisticated analytical facilities and expertise as well as high-throughput informatic solutions for metabolomics data analysis and interpretation. Metabolomics comprises the combination of high-throughput analytical technologies for the detection and quantification of metabolites in biological systems with the application of sophisticated bioinformatic tools for data mining and analysis.

Metabolomics Australia has five nodes including The University of Melbourne's School of Botany and the Bio21 Institute, The Australian Wine and Research Institute in Adelaide, Murdoch University and University of Western Australia in Perth and the University of Queensland in Brisbane. These nodes possess synergistic technologies and expertise enabling the consortium to offer a broad range of services to researchers and our collaborators.
