The Bioanalytical Mass Spectrometry Facility (BMSF) is part of the University of NSW Analytical Centre. Its laboratories provide access to advanced mass spectrometry instrumentation, expertise and training. BMSF staff are recognised experts in the application of mass spectrometry in the fields of proteomics and metabolomics, with a particular emphasis on shotgun proteomics and quantitative measurements using stable isotope labelling techniques including SILAC and iTRAQ.

Quantitative phosphopeptide, glycosylation site determinations and metabolite profiling are also undertaken. BMSF staff also undertake research in mass spectrometry methods and associated technologies.
