The Australian Life Scientist journal has recently featured three great articles featuring some of the prominent 'omics projects presently being undertaken by our partners.

The articles, which can be found in the November/December 2009 edition provided a very interesting look at the complexities of the wine yeast demonstration project managed by the Australian Wine Research Institute. The article, "Illuminating Coral", highlights the scientific and practical significance of Australia's first genome mapping project of Acropora millepora, a staghorn coral found in the Great Barrier Reef.  And the third article "Proteomics street directory" covers the proteomic techniques and progress of research lead by Mark Mollay at APAF to identify biomarkers for colorectal cancer. PDF versions of the ALS articles are provided below.
