Bioplatforms Australia has launched an access program to provide meritorious researchers with a $10,000 subsidy for any ‘omics service offered by our technology partners.

The Australian Wine Research Institute has launched a pioneering wine yeast program that will help demonstrate systems biology in Australia.  The project will require the collaboration of all four platforms to integrate ‘omics data generated on a model wine yeast, saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Additional funding of $50 million has been provided to Bioplatforms Australia under the Super Science Future Industries Initiative announced in the 2009 Budget.
